Whitewater Packrafting course
Whitewater packrafting is an intense and adrenaline infused way of enjoying the river. The small packrafts are well equipped to handle rough water making them perfect for learning whitewater navigation and paddling. When done right it’s a fantastic way to discover new places and have fun.
Spending time in moving water can be very dangerous if done wrong, our two day course is focused on safety in a white water environment in order to make you more aware of the dangers of packrafting and give you the basics, so you are ready to rescue yourself and aid your fellow paddlers. The aim with the course is not to make you a pro whitewater rafter, instead these two days are thought to make you prepared to go on our more advanced guided white water tours or tag along experienced rafters. It’s also a good foundation for you to join our coming courses in hydrology, rescue and paddling techniques.
The course includes all the gear needed when paddling and a course PDF that we will send you when you book. Please read it carefully, we will go through the theory fast in order to spend more time on the water.
